Second Graders’ ‘Wish For Wheels’ Comes True
Local nonprofit Wish for Wheels, founded in 2004 by Brad Appel, treated approximately 50 second graders to new “Stevens blue” Huffy bikes. Each student got to choose a bike, then work with a volunteer to find the right seat and handlebar size, and finally get a new helmet fit to their head.
Wish for Wheels & PDC Energy Donate Bicycles
Wish for Wheels and PDC Energy have come together to make sure that Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD second graders can "ride into summer" in style. The organizations have teamed up to donate brand-new bicycles to all second graders in the district, giving them a fun and healthy way to stay active this summer.
