‘Wish for Wheels‘ is on a mission to give every kid in need their own bike and helmet. Wish for Wheels is a non-profit that works with local 2nd graders to help make their dreams come true. Founder Brad Appel says bikes represent freedom.

DENVER/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The National Cycling League (NCL) and Wish for Wheels are thrilled to announce a continuation of their partnership to promote cycling to drive community-building in Denver, Colorado.

DENVER — A group of lucky kids are starting the summer off right with a new ride thanks to Native American Bank.

Employees assembled and donated 25 bikes to the Denver Indian Center through the Wish for Wheels program.

Local nonprofit Wish for Wheels, founded in 2004 by Brad Appel, treated approximately 50 second graders to new “Stevens blue” Huffy bikes. Each student got to choose a bike, then work with a volunteer to find the right seat and handlebar size, and finally get a new helmet fit to their head.

Wish for Wheels and PDC Energy have come together to make sure that Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD second graders can "ride into summer" in style. The organizations have teamed up to donate brand-new bicycles to all second graders in the district, giving them a fun and healthy way to stay active this summer.

PECOS, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- PDC Energy joined forces with Wish for Wheels to make a positive impact on the community by providing brand-new bikes to all 2nd graders in Pecos Barstow Toyah ISD, totaling over two hundred bikes.
