After graduating from the University of Texas Austin with a BA in Accounting, Jessica started her career as a staff accountant in Dallas. Relocating to Denver in 1998, Jessica worked as a budget analyst. A year later, Jessica entered a successful family sausage business that she co-owned and operated for 21 years. She is a proud parent to a 22-year-old son, Alex, a 20-year-old daughter, Ashley and an 8-year-old black lab, Austin.

After stepping away from her family business, Jessica joined a small accounting firm where she managed accounts for eight diverse clients, including five non-profit organizations.
