Alex Maple
Director of Operations
Alex serves as the Director of Operations at Wish For Wheels. In this role, Alex manages day-to-day operations at the organization, including sales and marketing processes, warehouse inventory, organizational processes and systems, finance, human resources, and team management.
Prior to joining Wish For Wheels, Alex worked for Vital Voices Global Partnership on the VV GROW Fellowship, a global business accelerator for women-owned, purpose-driven businesses, and served as the US Operations Manager for Action in Africa, a small education nonprofit that runs a community center outside of Kampala, Uganda.
She is an experienced nonprofit management and international development professional with several years of experience in community development and women’s empowerment initiatives.
Alex holds an M.A. in International Development Studies from George Washington University and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Alex is passionate about sustainability and the environment and believes in the power of communities to provide innovative solutions to the world’s greatest problems.
Beyond the work she does at Wish For Wheels, Alex is a youth alpine ski racing coach in the winter and pet sits for fun in the Denver Metro Area. Outside of work, Alex enjoys being out in nature, reading, and listening to a good true crime podcast.
