What to Expect When You Partner with Wish for Wheels on a Team Build & Give Event

Looking to organize a team building event that leaves a lasting impact, both on your team and the community you serve? Our Team Build and Give events provide a unique experience that allow you to do both!

At Wish for Wheels, we have been staging bike Build and Gives since 2004! We've fine-tuned our process over two decades to create an experience that promises unforgettable memories for your team and the children you'll be serving - all you need to bring are willing hands and smiling faces!

Our dedicated team will do all of the heavy lifting on logistics, leaving you free to participate and enjoy. The moment you contact us, our collaboration begins. We work together to tailor an experience that aligns with your organization’s needs and goals.

Here are just a few of the ways that our partners have gotten involved:

  • Sponsor an entire 2nd grade: Make a big impact by funding, building, and giving bikes to an entire second grade (50-100 bikes). These are the perfect addition to your corporate retreat or annual meeting

  • Team building experience: For organizations who want to host a team building experience and donate 25 or more bikes (smaller than a typical grade-size).

  • Client appreciation: Enhance brand loyalty by inviting your clients to participate in a Build & Give experience.

  • Donate a bike for every sale: For every sale, donate a bike in the name of your customer. Then, set a date to invite your customers back to build the donated bikes.

  • Holiday party or giving event: A Team Build & Give event is the perfect way to celebrate the end of the year and provide under-resourced kids with the happiest holiday ever.

The Build

On the day of the event, your team of volunteers arrives with enthusiasm, ready to build bikes and create cherished memories with one another and ‘your’ 2nd-graders. We meet you at your office or the school you’ll be supporting, guiding you through every step as you transform the bikes from parts in a box to a vehicle that will give kids an opportunity for social connection, a sense of responsibility, increased confidence and healthy habits that will elevate their lives for years to come.

The ‘Build’ part of the experience is about your team. Through engaging team-building challenges, your team will be building camaraderie, communication skills, and trust,  as the bikes take shape.

The Give

Once the bikes are built and quality checked to make sure they are in great shape for the kids, your team will set the bikes up to present to them. If we’ve built the bikes at your office or an off-site location, we’ll first head to the school to present the bikes. Then the magic happens!

Your 2nd-graders step forward, and it becomes all about them - a moment that is unforgettable for all who see it. The kids’ reactions are incredible! Some of the things we’ve overhard are: “This feels like walking into heaven!” “I can’t wait to share this with my brother and cousin!” “I get to take this home?” “I am going to ride this everywhere.”

Now, as mentors and friends, your team assists the kids in choosing their very own bikes. With guidance from our Build/Give Specialists, you'll adjust helmets, seats, and offer words of encouragement. You will laugh with them, walk alongside them as they ride their new bikes, and be their bike expert for the afternoon.

Get Involved

Employees no longer want to know their companies are donating to a good cause - they want to be a part of making the difference. By partnering with Wish for Wheels on a Team Build and Give event, we make this happen for you, your team, and the kids in your community.

Let's make a difference, together.
